Back to work

Well there goes my weekend, my one day off. Today we had out morning meeting (exactly the same as Tuesday). Then I got 15 linen changes and a checkout. My manager said that since they check out tomorrow I didn't have to do them unless the sheets were bad. I think it's hilarious that she thought I wouldn't have done it that way anyway.

I finished around 3:15. I headed to the office and since I had two DND's I had to wait anyway. So she just said stay and she'll drive me back in her car. So I didn't clock out until 4:44 which is good cause at 4:45 I think we get a half point for clocking out late. Anyway after work I headed to Caribbean beach and got in a hammock and read for close to three hours. It was so relaxing!

I grabbed dinner at the resort and then headed back. As soon as I went in my room, my roommate was on his computer. I put some stuff in the closest and he immediately got up and went to bed. Not sure if I did something to upset him but I'll probably ask I mean, what the hell was that? Just go to bed when I walk in? Anyway, work again tomorrow. Only good news is it will all be overtime pay :)

Now You See Me

My only day off this week and what do I do?? Sleep until 8 and don't leave until 1!! Story of my life! I was gonna leave sooner but it started to rain so I was like, better not and so I just laid around waiting and finally I decided, no you need to get out and do something.

I went to Downtown Disney to the pin store and then I decided to head to Universal CityWalk and do the dinner and a movie deal. I decided to go to Jimmy Buffet's Magaritaville. Naturally I had to get a margarita while I there. I got the Tropical Fruit Magarita. I asked for Strawberry and Raspberry, it was soooo good! Unfortunately, I wanted the Chicken and broccoli pasta but they didn't have it and since I was limited in my choices I ended up picking Jambalaya.

Honestly it sounded good but it ended up being to spicy. I didn't eat much of it. Lesson learned stick to what you know! My next problem however was since I didn't eat much for dinner and I I didn't eat much for lunch and I just drank alcohol, well let's just say I felt drunk for the first time in my life. I wasn't barfing or anything but I was definitely tipsy if nothing else. It was fine though.

I had two hours to kill before the movie and the movie was two hours so it was out of my system before I left. But anyways I grabbed popcorn and candy to coat my stomach and I was fine. I posted on Facebook a status to the three CP's whose programs end tomorrow and they all were housekeepers with me at All-Star Music, Kevin,Ally and Shaye. I wish them the best of luck and hope they enjoyed their programs. Now I'm the only CP at All-Star except for the three new people who will be here until January... God Bless them. Anyway, I ended up seeing Now You See Me. I've gotta say the plot twists and all the magic were amazing! My eyes were glued to the screen! I would absolutely see I again and I recommend it to all of you reading this!!! After the movie I did my usual, headed back and crashed.

Catching up with friends is always good!

I truly cannot believe how much this job continues to screw me over. So today was Shaye's last day and she signed up for an early release and I decided hey why not so I did too. Once again she got it and I did not. She has gotten three early releases (two in the last week) and when she asked for four days off for no reason, she got them. Yet I can't get off for when my mom comes or when my sis comes. Why are these people so against me? Well anyway I had four checkouts and two linen changes. I was so angry that I moved my butt and finished by 3:15 and actually got to leave by 3:45. It was awesome.

I met up with Heather and Martha at Cast connection and then we headed over to Heather's new apartment. We just caught up cause we haven't seen Martha much since she moved to Yacht and beach club. It was great to just talk for a few hours. Then Martha had to go so Heather and I went to Steak 'N' Shake. I got a chocolate brownie milkshake... Omg it was amazing!

After that we went back to Heather's and watched House at the End of the Street. I had already seen it but she wanted to so we watched that. We were gonna watch another movie but she was exhausted so she crashed and I headed back to the apartment to do the same.

Wow, I literally crash everyday

Another day of work, only 1 checkout and the rest occupied. I got lucky, my manager had me in a section with 7 checkouts. I made $10.00 in two occupieds! So I took home $20!! thise people had to be loaded! Thank goodness she moved me!

I took my hour lunch and finished at about 3:45. After work, I came back to the apartment and got a shower and then decided to go to Caribbean beach to sit on the beach and read.

I did that for about an hour cause it started to rain. I grabbed dinner, went back to the apartment. I started to watch a movie but I never finished it and I crashed as usual.

Walking the resorts is still fun!

Can I just say I hate waking up for work on a daily basis? Yeah I know me and like everyone else on the planet. Perhaps if I had a better job then I'd have something to look forward to but not me! Anyway, so I had three checkouts and the rest all occupied. I had done 7 occupied rooms by 10:30 and by 12:45 I had my three checkouts done and 7 occupieds! Which is bad because that means I'm actually getting good at this job.

I took 45 mins for lunch. I had to stay until 4:10 because I had Do Not Disturb. I left shortly after that. Shaye got sassy with me because this is her last week and she wanted to hang out and when we were both off last week Friday and Saturday we didn't talk to each other. Apparently I was supposed to text her, well excuse me but a phone works both ways! Besides she's he one leaving so if you want to see me text me if not, not a big deal.

After work I hung around, grabbed some food and then went back into All-Star and I decided to walk all three All-Star Resorts (Sports,Music and Movies) and take pictures. After that I headed back to the apartment and posted everything on Facebook and now I've taken pictures at all the Value Resorts!

I finished the night by typing the blog of course and reading my book. My roommate has been a little weird lately, he's been really quiet and distant. Not sure if I should be concerned or let it run it's course???

It's my Monday... Bummer.

Work wasn't horrible today! Only 1 checkout and 5 linen changes. Hey, when I get to take an hour for lunch... It's a good day. I went slow purposely because I knew I would have to stay until 4:10 because I had a room with a Do Not Disturb. I left at about 4:15.

Steve had told me that another one of his roommates had got terminated so I visited him at Animal Kingdom Lodge to find about what happened. I walked around there for a while ( it really is a beautiful hotel) and then I headed to Hess, got gas Nd a pizza and headed back to the apartment.

I watched some movie called Abduction starring Taylor Lautner (commonly known as Jacob from Twilight) it was actually a pretty good flick. I talked to my best friend for a while via text and just surfed the web until it was time to crash. I know my life is extremely exciting you don't have to tell me.

Who needs the parks to have fun!

Another lazy day for me! I actually slept in until 10! It was nothing short of a miracle, I assure you. I woke up, read my book, stalled on the computer. Finally decided to get ready around 1 and then stalled some more. I left at about 3 and decided to go to Art of Animation Resort to take pictures and because they have one of the most diverse food courts on Disney property.

I ate lunch and walked around Art of Animation. I took a lot of pictures...again. Next I headed over to Pop Century and walked around while taking pictures as well. After that I ended up at Caribbean Beach. I was gonna go swimming but I just ended up settling in to a hammock and reading my book on the beach for a good two hours.

I grabbed some dinner at Old Port Royale at Caribbean Beah and brought it back to the apartment. I was gonna watch a movie but instead I decided to finally get caught up on Glee. So, I watched the two most recent episodes including the finale!! And now it's back to work for 4 days... Yay me

Being Lazy at its finest!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm getting extremely lazy on my days off. I only slept in until maybe 9 but I didn't do anything constructive until 1 something when I finally got ready to go. Then I went back to my computer and I thought deeply about updating this blog with pictures but I didn't, I'm sorry!

After stalling and doing some random computer stuff, I finally left my apartment around 4. Yes, that's how late I did nothing. I thought about going to a park earlier but I couldn't go to Magic Kingdom because they are doing a 24 hour all nighter to celebrate Monstrous Summer, essentially celebrating the new Monsters University Movie, but anyway they blocked out our id's for that so we can't get in. All the other parks including Universal had ridiculous wait times so I decided to go to some resorts.

As soon as I got to Caribbean Beach, I changed my mind and ended up going to Downtown Disney. I got ticket to see The Great Gatsby and then headed to dinner. I decided to eat at Raglan Road, instead of getting the fish and chips, I got the braised beef with potatoes and carrots. It was so good!

After dinner I went to see Gatsby. While I will say I didn't notice that it was almost a 2 and 1/2 hour movie while I was watching it, but honestly it was a little hard to follow. If I hadn't read the book in high school and seen the original movie, I'm not sure I would have understood what was going on. However the way it was portrayed was interesting so I wouldn't say it was awful but I didn't love it either. After that I stopped at Target and then headed back to the apartment.

The sounds of the islands are relaxing

Sometimes I wonder how stupid people think I am. Once again we had the manager I don't like and she gave me 8 checkouts. I had the same section yesterday, so I checked to yesterday to see how many checkouts I would have today (I knew I would have the section again because usually housekeepers get two days in a row off so we get there section two days in a row) and I only should have had 6 checkouts and when she gave me my key for the day she told me she cut my board for me, obviously you didn't! I'm not a moron! To it all off most of the rooms that I had as checkouts today I had as checkouts yesterday. I finished around 3:45 so not to bad.

I thought about going to a pool or hanging out with my fellow housekeepers but I was kinda pooped and still sick so I ended up going to the Polynesian Resort and sitting on the beach and I finally finished my book! Time just slipped away. Next thing I knew it was 8:15 and the sun was setting, I sat there for a good three hours. I couldn't believe it! I guess the Hawaiian songs (I'm pretty sure I heard the Spirit of Aloha show) and the drums and the waves was just so relaxing, I lost track of time! Oh well!!

So, I grabbed some food and headed back to my apartment. My roommate was telling me about how he got to parade to be a paparazzi for a special event at Hollywood Studios, it was all fake but it made the guests at the event feel special, and he got paid for it too! Why can't I do stuff like that? I ended my day with two things in the mail, another card from my sis (she always knows how to put a smile on my face) and a letter from Sara listing stuff to do while I'm here. Thanks so much to both of you! I think I'm gonna try to update my blog with pictures tomorrow! Stay tuned.

Clubbing?? On a Wednesday??

Today at work our original manager was finally back and she apparently needed to give me six checkouts and six linen changes. Didn't get to take a lunch, as usual and had to work my butt off until 4:15. I'm hating this job more and more everyday. I have only one day off next week so that's gonna be horrid.

After work, I grabbed some food from McDonalds because little breakfast, no lunch and running around all day makes me very hungry. Steve called me shortly after that and we eventually met up at his apartment. He made some pasta and we watched Cinderella 2 and part of 3. One of his friends (this really bitchy girl that I can't stand) came over and invited us to go to Buffalo Wild Wings cause apparently that's where all the CP's go clubbing on Wednesday nights.

He really wanted to go and I said no. Not only cause it's until 2 in the morning and I have work tomorrow but also cause I can stand her! They left and Steven got ready and then I headed back to my apartment before she came back! Once I got back I decided to just read my book. Who needs to drink and dance to have fun right?

Oh hey Magic Kingdom! Long time no see!

Morning meeting at work was joyful. Today I only had 13 occupied rooms as opposed to 18 because I had a round table with Steve meeting from 1-2. Steve is the General Manager for the entire All-Star Resort. So I finished 10 rooms by 12:30 and then my manager got me a ride to base.

The meeting was interesting, there was a cast member from each section, Food, Merchandise, Front Desk, Concierge, lifeguard, chef, and a housekeeper from each theme. We were sworn to keep what was said between us. Basically he asked us if we thought we were being recognized enough, if our managers were there for us. That was the only part I really became vocal I said I thought it depends on the manager and basically I threw the one manager who took three hours to answer a call, and who is rude and lazy, I threw her under the bus.

After the meeting, I just chilled in the managers office until the end of the day. She drove me back to base. Then I headed back to the apartment and went over to Steven's. We went to Magic Kingdom.

We ate at Columbia Harbour House and got a FastPass for Peter Pan's Flight. At dinner, Steve told me something that i never would have guessed if he didn't say it. We rode Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Next it was off to Tomorrowland and we rode the Peoplemover. We watched Wishes and we were gonna ride Space Mountain but it broke down so we used our Fastpasses for Peter Pans Flight and then rode It's A Small World and finally watched the Electrical Parade.

We headed back to Chatham and Steve had Ricky and myself over at his place and we ate some food and then they started to watch Across the Universe but I decided to go because lucky me has work in the morning... Again!

You are not fat!

Apparently it was a busy day in our building. Lucky for me the manager switched me so I ended up in a section with only two checkouts. She really is the best! I got to take an hour for lunch, I went with Shaye and she had 8 checkouts. Now to prove I'm sick Shaye and I finished at the same time. I would never usually take that long but this cold has got me beat.

The manager also mentioned that one of the Hataiian woman called her fat. First of all she is one of the skinnest people I've ever seen (seriously for those of you who know me, she's skinner than me) and she is beautiful. I think the woman was just jealous because she is hefty and not pretty in the least. I think it's so stupid how people need to insult each other, especially your own boss! Are you seriously? I mean she could take her to the union!

After work I had some errands to run. I mailed out a package with my best friends birthday gifts! I went to Target and got dinner and some DayQuil, all while I did laundry! I ate dinner and just played around on the computer. I was gonna watch a movie but I started to feel tired and the later it got, the less I thought I could actually make it through a movie.

Sick....again

Work was extremely difficult today. Probably because I recently obtained a cold from doing my wonderful job. Can I just mention that this is the third time I have gotten sick from doing this job, just wanted to throw that out there. I had 6 checkouts today and 2 linen changes, no time for a break and I still finished at 4. Seriously this job is not only getting tedious but having to get sick from it is completely unfair.

I was so happy to leave. To bad I have to go back tomorrow. Anyway after work I went to Downtown Disney, I shopped and got dinner at Earl of Sandwich and since my throat is sore I thought some Ghiradelli ice cream might help. So I came back with my ice cream to the apartment and did some stuff on the computer and decided to watch Sleeping Beauty. After that I headed to bed. I hope I am feeling better in the morning. I'm probably gonna end up back at the apartment so I may MAY update my blogs with pictures since I haven't in years!

Ugh... It's my Monday

Yay back to work for me, love it. I guess all of one of the rock buildings was checking out today. Even though the manager was told no, she made two people checkout assistants anyway. Guess who got assigned to that job...me! I was one and some guy I'd never seen before was the other one. I did 42 rooms, I'm gonna just let that sink in. I mean yes all you're doing is stripping beds and grabbing the garbage but it saves the housekeeper time.

Since I was checkout assistant I got to take an hour for lunch! After that I helped make beds. It's definitely more tiring then being a housekeeper but I'd rather do that than housekeeping. I got to leave a little before 4:30. I came back to the apartment cause I was so sweaty and I needed a shower.

Like usual I sing in the shower and since my roommate was not here I thought it would be okay, wrong I belted out 5 songs and he heard then all. Oops! He asked me to go to Panera with him so I just got a drink because I can't stand Panera, I think they are overpriced. Anyway after that I went to Target and grabbed dinner and came back.

Steve asked me to go to Magic Kingdom with him but he wanted to stay until 1 AM and I said I just couldn't. So he went and I watched some stupid movie. I was gonna watch another movie but I started to dose so I just thought I'd read my book instead.

Making Character Discoveries at Animal Kingdom

Much like yesterday I was very lazy. I didn't wake up until 9 and I didn't leave til 1:30. I decided sort of last minute to go to Animal Kingdom to hunt for characters there.

I started with wilderness explorer pals Russell and Dug from the movie Up. Russell was a little upset that I was so much taller than him but I told him he'd get there someday. The best part was when I got a hug from both of them at the same time. After seeing them I headed over to Camp Minnie-Mickey.

That's where I found Donald, Chip and Dale, King Louie and Baloo from the Jungle Boom and Pocahontas. I guess Mowgli was meeting with King Louie and Baloo which would have been awesome to see but no such luck. After that I headed over to Character Landing and saw Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. Then to Dinoland to see Goofy and Pluto.

Next, I took the Widlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch and got to meet Rafiki. I headed back to Africa and finally ended up at Adventurer's Outpost where Mickey and Minnie are meeting people together! After that I was kind of exhausted so I grabbed food on the way back and went to the apartment.

I checked my request to get off four days for when Michelle and her family is here and it was denied yet again! I think that's unfair! Shaye the other CP leaves and two weeks and she just got four days off for no reason! I couldn't get days off when my mom was here and now when my sister is here! I'm seriously starting to feel like a slave for this company and it's not making me happy! Anyway, I popped in the movie Alien and watched that and then I headed to bed. Another six days of work in a row, can't wait!

Character Hunting at Hollywood Studios

This morning I was such a bum. I slept in and did pretty much nothing until like 9:30 and by the time I finally got up and ready it was like 12:45. I decided to go character hunting. I ended up at Hollywood Studios.

Right near The Sorcerer Hat. First Minnie was on one side and Donald and Daisy were on the other I got to see both. Then they switched and brought out Stitch and Chip and Dale. So I waited and saw both of them and then they switched again and brought out Goofy and Pluto and so I stayed and saw both of them. I made sure that was everyone and it was.

I walked passed where Buzz and Woody are but the wait was to long so I went and saw Lightning McQueen and Mater. I was gonna see Phineas and Ferb but there line was ridiculous so I headed back to the front and went in the Animation Building. I saw Mr. Incredible and Frozone.

Sorcerer Mickey's line was kinda short so I saw him next. I was wearing my shirt that said Hollywood Studios on it and had Mr. Incredible on it and it looks like he was flying. Mickey pointed out that he doesn't fly, so since he was right above the ear of the sorcerer hat that stands in the middle of the park I said he jumped off and is going down. That got a laugh. He also kissed the girl in front of me and we were all told not to tell Minnie.

I was gonna go see Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope but the line was long and it was almost time for he surprise Characterpalooza! So I headed back to Streets of America and just when I lost hope and sat down on a stoop, they started coming out right in front of me! I was like whoa! I saw Pocahontas and her raccoon pal Meeko, Max (Goofy's son), Green Army Man, Mr. Penguin (from Mary Poppins), Jessie (toy story), Snow White, and Captain Hook. Mulan, Dale and Stitch were also there but I just saw Stitch and Dale and Mulan left before I got to see her.

I was looking for their second set which is usually by Echo Lake. I waited until 5:30 and said oh well I caught one set so I went back to the Animation Building and saw Ralph and Vanellope. Then I went to see Buzz and Woody, it was still kind of a long wait but c'mon, it's Buzz and Woody! Finally I go in line to see Phineas and Ferb. Unfortunately, Phineas had homework to do so he left with only three people left in front of me. So, I only saw Ferb.

I think I saw every possible character at Hollywood Studios except for Mike and Sulley because they are being re located for their new movie and Jake and Handy Manny but those two weren't important to me. I grabbed dinner and headed back. I talked to my sister Michelle, because I just found out they are coming here in 37 days!!!! I helped plan out there trip a little bit. Then I zonked out as I was typing this blog last night, probably to much sun, but still a successful day.

One text can certainly change the day!

Another day waking up and going to my job. We got to have a different manager today because the good one was off and the one who is supposed to be there is sick. So we got the lazy and ummm circular shaped one. My board was one of the worst I've seen, 4 checkouts and one of them was a general clean. A general clean is when you clean every square inch of the room,moving furniture, cleaning carpet edges. It's a pain, it can take people up to two hours! Luckily, I only took a little over an hour. I still managed to finish by about 3:45 and made 8 bucks in tips.

On my way home from work that got me a little worried. I got a text about some news from back home that made me really want to go back even if just for a day or two and I got to talk to so many good friends on the phone! Let's see I talked to Gail, Michelle, Teresa and Sam! It was awesome just talking to all of them made the day wonderful. In between my phone calls I headed to Universal Studios to do the dinner and a movie deal at Citywalk. I ate at the Latin Quarter and had this delicious Four Cheese Chicken Pasta. Then I headed to the movie theater and finally got to see Iron Man 3.

The movie was great! I wish I had seen The Avengers before seeing it as they did reference it throughout the movie but oh well. There was so much action and the storyline was good. Between the action, comedy and the romance between Tony and Pepper I'd say it had it all! I especially love movies that are like over two hours long and your like hmm do I really want to sit through that long of a movie and when you do it feels like it's only been like a half hour and you're like wow it's over already. I headed back after that, which was tough because I had a wicked headache but I made it in one piece and I crashed which is why I didn't type the blog until now!

ET phone home

Work was okay. I originally had two checkouts but another room became a checkout so I got three but then they decided to stay so it was still only two. I luckily got 10 bucks in one of my checkouts and 3 in an occupied. I took a 45 minute lunch and ended up leaving at about 4:10.

After work I took my tips to get a haircut! Yay me! The girl who cut my hair told me I look like Jake Gyllenhaal, which is a compliment, I mean he's not a bad looking dude. Then I grabbed some food and headed back to the apartment. I decided to watch ET since I never have seen it and I've ridden the ride like four times. It's a beautiful movie, I'll admit it, I cried. By the way that movie and the ride have almost nothing in common. I just lounged around after that and now I'm gonna try to read my book for a little bit.

Halfway through... I can make it?

I had 6 checkouts but one of them ended up being a stay over so I ended up with only 5. I finished at about 3:45. The only good memorable part of my day was when I got stopped by an elderly couple because they were missing there TV remote. I got them one and then they asked for more towels and shampoo. They gave me two bucks just for doing all that for them. Just goes to show you the only people who appreciate us are people who live in this country. After work, I got McDonalds and just came back to the apartment. I watched some movie called Take Me Home Tonight. That was pretty much the day.

I really don't know what to do here anymore. I love Disney don't get me wrong but how many times can you ride the same rides and do the same stuff. As much as I'd love to go outside of the Disney area, I can't because I only get two days off per week and I honestly wouldn't know where to go anyway. I guess I'm at the point where missing everyone and everything back home outweighs being here, doing a crap job, for barely any money.

I guess why this is hitting me now is because a lot of people whose programs end are leaving and it just makes me realize that I'm only halfway through. I need to decide what I'm gonna do after this but I really have no idea what to do. Everything is just happening all at once and I'm not sure what I want anymore. Let me just say thank you to everyone who has given me a card either while I'm here or right before I left. I re-read them all today and it helped me, along with a little alcohol of course.

Mother's Day without mom

Work was the same old. 4 checkouts and a linen change. I took a half hour lunch and finished a little after 4. I did send my mom a photo collage of pictures from her visit. Since I am past my 90 day probation period I can clock out anytime after 3:45 and still get paid like I'm there til 4:30.

After work I went to Hollywood Studios. I was visiting this kid Mark who is really good friends with Wreck-It Ralph. He asked for a ride home so I had an hour to kill. I rode Tower of Terror twice and got a FastPass to keep. I talked to my mom for a few minutes. Then I met Mark (who lives in the same hometown as me by the way) and his friend Erica and drove them back.

I grabbed dinner, starting watching a glee episode and talked to my mom for a while. Then I had to go pick up Steven from the airport. I brought him and stayed at his place for a little bit and then came back to my apartment and finished glee.

Welcome Princess Merida!

Back to work today after having four days off was tough. I had two checkouts and three linen changes. Even with an hour lunch I still finished at about 3:30. Not bad at all. I was disappointed that I didn't get to go to Magic Kingdom this morning as Merida had a royal coronation in which she became the official 11th Disney Princess! I guess Sophia Grace and Rosie (the little British girls from Ellen) , Debby Ryan (Disney Channel Star) and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas and her mom were all present. Ugh stupid work! Later, I was asked to meet someone at the parks but it started to rain and it was insanely humid today so I just went back to the apartment.

I went back out and grabbed dinner, came back and watched an episode of Glee after which I just surfed the web and found out that I basically need to talk to my best friend more. It's days like this that I really wish I could just go home. I miss talking to everyone and being there for them instead of miles away. After that I bought some songs on ITunes and crashed at about midnight.

Mom heads home :/

Woke up around 6:45 and decided to get up and call into work, mostly because I didn't want to be running out the door to work and saying bye. So, I got to have breakfast with my mom at the hotel and then I drove her to the airport. Just so we could spend a little more time together before I don't see her for another 3 months.

We got there and we said our goodbyes. I actually held it together this time so that was good. I headed back to the apartment after that and unpacked which was another reason I was glad I called in because I had time to unpack while my roommate wasn't home. I just bummed around until about 4 and then I headed to Downtown Disney because I still had 2 table service credits to use.

Being a Friday night, I didn't think many places would be able to take me without a reservation. I ended up at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe not the quick service one but the big one on west side. I got chicken Alfredo which wasn't bad but the dessert was amazing! Snickers Marble Cheesecake, wow, just delicious! After that I headed to Caribbean Beach and sat on the beach. I read my book and just laid there for about an hour, it was peaceful. At about 8:30 I headed to Shutters and had dinner there. I got the strip steak and fries. For dessert I got a chocolate cake, which is just alright. Finally I headed back and called a night.

Mom's Last Day :(

Mom's last full day here :( As usual we grabbed our breakfast and left. We headed to Hollywood Studios first, we were gonna get a FastPass for Toy Story Midway Mania but the return time wasn't until 1. So we just waited the 35 minutes to ride it. We did Star Tours and the Great Movie Ride. On our way out we made dinner reservations for Whispering Canyon Cafe. Then I took my mom over to Cast Connection, the store for cast members.

We headed to the Contemporary, checked out the pins and went to Magic Kingdom. We got Fastpasses for Splash Mountain and had a quick lunch at Pecos Bill. Next up we did Enchanted Tales with Belle since my mom hadn't done that yet. We rode Haunted Mansion, her favorite and after that it was time for Splash Mountain! She thought it was gonna be fast but it wasn't! We took the train from Frontierland to Storybook Circus. We rode the Barnstormer and Dumbo (both firsts for my mom) and ended the day with a spin on Prince Charming's Carousel.

It was almost time for our dinner reservation so we headed to he Wilderness Lodge and had dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. The food was pretty good! We got ribs, roast beef and pulled pork the first time and got fish, sausage and eventually chicken. I didn't care for the ribs or the fish but everything else was good! The desserts were good too, you get caramel cheesecake, chocolate cake and strawberry something warm... not like the chocolate cake, it had nuts and had a bitter after taste. After dinner I talked to a guy named Denny who looked like the manager of front desk and asked how I can get into hat field and he said talk to your leaders so who knows. Finally we headed back and crashed from being so full and tired.

Universal Studios with mom!!

Today we decided to do Universal since my mom had never been there. We grabbed Danishes at our hotel and headed out. We went to Islands of Adventure first and got on The Amazing Spider-Man. Then we walked back to Harry Potter and rode the Forbidden Journey. Next was the Flight of the Hippograth. After that we walked to the Lost Continent and did the walkthrough tour Poseidon's Fury and that was a snore.

I wanted to do the Jurassic Park River Adventure but it was closed. My mom is not a huge rides person so after that we headed out and got lunch at Panda Express on Citywalk. Next up was Universal Studios. She actually rode Revenge of the Mummy. We did Twister and Men in Black where I got some crazy bonus and got a total of 166,000 points.

The Simpsons Ride was next, followed by E.T. Adventure. We saw Shrek 4-D and of course we rode Despicable Me! Boy did I have an issue with the couple in front of us. Basically the parade started and the girl tried to film it on her phone so she would stop and we would have to wait behind her while her husband moved up. Eventually I got pissed and walked around her and then since she cut around me and stopped again I cut around her again and put my head in front of her camera so she like stuck her arm almost on my shoulder and I looked at her and yelled Excuse me and she touched my back and said sorry. That was when I realized they weren't from this country. Then she gets in front of me again and I'm said rude. Then she says Bad day for you and I said yeah because of you! So when we got put onto the ride I told the ride attendant don't sit me by them and she asked if everything was okay and I just said yeah.

I just can't stand people coming here from their country and acting so rude. We saw a kid from India open up a bouncy ball and throw the wrapper right in the street. It's just ridiculous. Anyways, we saw the Animal Actors show. They had a lot of famous dogs there! The dog from The Proposal, the dog from Beverly Hills Chiuauahua, Beethoven and the pug from Men In Black! It was a cute little show. Finally we did Disaster and they did the part where they film everyone in the subway and apparently ours was the best cause ours was the only shot they used for that part. We headed to dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp. The food was so good! Unfortunately since neither of us had seen Forrest Gump we failed the trivia quiz and I think that upset our waitress. Oh well at this seafood was good! After that we headed back and crashed.

Wonderful Day with Mom!!

Today was a crazy day! I woke up at 5AM because Steven needed a ride to the airport. So, I woke up and got ready and was out the door by 5:30. I dropped him off and he headed back home to visit his family until Saturday. My mom wanted me to wake her before I left so she was getting ready when I came back. We headed out at 7:45. We got breakfast at Old Port Royale. Then we headed to Epcot.

I gotta say it was great to avoid the long line waiting to get in because of extra magic hours. We immediately got FastPasses for Soarin. Then headed over to Test Track. It was my moms first time riding that she thought it wasn't that bad. We traded pins in the Central Pin Trading Station. Then we headed over and rode Soarin. Since there wasn't much else to get a Fastpass for, I got two more to keep.

We then started our walk around the world. The main reason my mom wanted to go to Epcot was because of the Flower and Garden Festival. So we checked out the toparies. We rode Maelstrom in Norway. Got fish and chips in United Kingdom. After we finished the countries we went to the character spot for Visa Card Members. Usually it's either Mickey and Pluto or Minnie and Goofy but lucky for us it was Minnie and Mickey! When we picked up our picture the guy who waited on us looked at us and then like did a double-take at me, then he was surprisingly really friendly. So I kinda wondered who he was.

After that we headed to Downtown Disney. We decided to get tickets to La Nouba by Cirque de Soliel. I got 50% off! It was awesome. We then ate at Fulton's Crab House. Unfortunately the thing we always get with the lobster and the crab was no longer on their menu so the food we ended up with wasn't wonderful. Needless to say my mom's favorite restaurant here isn't her favorite anymore.

La Nouba was at six, we got great seats and the show was amazing! There was so much going on I didn't know where to look! I definitely want to see it at least once more. After that we were both exhausted so we just grabbed a pizza at our hotel and crashed.

My mom is here!!!!

I knew checkouts were gonna be brutal today. About half of our buildings left today. Luckily for me I was a checkout assistant. I had to strip beds and grab garbage from all my rooms which was two floors, 64 rooms per floor. Good thing about that is I got an hour for lunch! I finished about 4:20.

I drove right to Caribbean Beach Resort and met my mom. I was so happy, I cried. I've missed her so much. It's weird talking to her and seeing her in person. We went to Downtown Disney. My mom ate at Earl of Sandwich and it was her first time! After that we walked around and traded pins and ended the night by getting a Ghardelli ice cream. It's so great seeing her. I can't wait for the whole day together tomorrow!

Cinco de Mayo!!!

Work again! Yipee! Just 7 linen changes but the problem was literally no one left there room until 11 because they are a giant group of cheerleaders. Shaye and I couldn't so anything until they left. She was able to get into one room and later she discovered she'd lost her key, so that was a big problem. At 11 we decided to take a quick lunch since we couldn't do much else but when we came back at 11:30 we set to work. I finished at about 3:45 that's right I did 18 rooms in about 4 hours, it was stressful but it got done.

After work, I headed immediately over to Port Orleans Riverside to say goodbye to Gail, Joe, Kendra and Josh. It was so great to see them! Next, I headed to Epcot to visit Mexico since it is Cinco de Mayo after all and that's probably the closest I'll ever be to Mexico on this day so I am embracing it. I got to get my picture with the Three Caballeros!! Then I headed to Universal and got my mom a ticket for her visit. I also decided to get dinner at Moe's since I can't eat at Mighty Taco like usual!

I came back to the apartment, ate and did laundry. As I was waiting for the laundry I packed and then as it dried I drove over to Hess. I got gas, vaccumed out my car, and got breakfast for tomorrow because I know it's gonna be a tough day. Then I came back, grabbed my clothes and packed. So I'm all set to stay with my mom! I'm so excited she's coming!!

No checkouts today!!! Our whole two buildings didn't have checkouts ( that's because they just checked and the next group of cheerleaders checks out Monday). I still didn't finish until like 3:45 I don't know I guess I was in slow motion or something today.

After work I headed directly to Magic Kingdom to meet up with Gail and them to say goodbye. I parked at the Contemporary and got yelled at for that and when I finally got there they had already got called in for their reservation two minutes before I got there. I walked over to Splash Mountain and got a FastPass to keep. Then I left.

I headed to Panda Express for dinner, came back to the apartment and just relaxed and then I headed over to Hollywood Studios for the May the fourth celebration. I got to see Chewbacca dancing to Lady Gaga and the Spice Girls. I also saw Jawas,Tusken Raiders,Kit Fitso,Zam Wesell, the Cantina Band, Jango Fett, Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and the warthog thing. I watched Symphony in the Stars, which was amazing!!! While they were going off I got some great shots of the characters since they were right behind me. I got a Fastpass to keep for Star Tours and I was gonna ride it but it was almost an hour wait so no, no. Then I headed back and crashed yet again.

Typical Friday Night

I guess I'm starting to get spoiled, when I got to work today and saw that I had 8 checkouts I was not happy and I was actually really slow today in my opinion. I finished around 4:15. After work I drove Shaye home because she had just missed the bus.

Then stopped at the apartment and changed. I drove to Downtown Disney. I got a ticket to see a movie at the Dine- In theater and they didn't let me pick my seat like you usually can. I found out my seat was the handicap seat which is miles away from the table which didn't please me. I saw Pain and Gain, it was okay I don't think I'd sit through it again. The only reason I wanted to see it is because Mark Walhberg is my favorite actor. I guess what I didn't like was that they jumped around a lot and to tell the story from other people's perspectives they had them narrate and then they would switch, it was a little confusing.

After the movie I talked to my sis. She said they are definitely coming to visit! I'm so excited!!! Then I bought a Mint Bliss ice cream and Ghiradelli and headed back. Definitely not as exciting as yesterday but still a pretty good day.

I couldn't have asked for a better day!

This morning started out just like any other. I woke up, got ready and went to work. I had 8 checkouts on the first and third floors. Kevin another housekeeper in the college program suggested signing up for an early release. I had never bothered to put my name on the list cause I never thought I'd get one!

I went to one room that was a checkout, did it and just as I was finishing the houseperson came and found me and said you got an ADO (Authorized Day Off) so I put my metro back in the linen room and then got to leave. All the other CPs got it too probably cause they have to pay full-time people but not us.

So I left about 9:30, and despite being tired I headed to Hollywood Studios. I got a FastPass to keep for Toy Story Midway Mania and then I rode it since it was only a 40 minute wait so it wasn't bad. Then I rode Star Tours. Rockin Roller Coaster was only a 20 minute wait so I went to the single rider line and waited maybe five minutes. Tower of Terror was only 20 minutes so I wait for that. Finally I ended with The Great Movie Ride.

Magic Kingdom was next. I got a FastPass to keep for Splash Mountain. Then I got a spot in Frontierland for the Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade. I got a text from my friend from back home, Gail inviting me to dinner with them, I really hadnt seen them much since they had been here and I wanted to. The parade started Cinderella's stepmother stopped to see if I was suitable enough to marry one of her daughters and while I was getting a picture of Mary Poppins, Tweedle Dee put his head on my shoulder and freaked me out. As soon as the parade was done I cut through the archway to Adventureland, across the bridge by the Crystal Palace and through the Emporium to Main Street and caught the whole parade a second time. Next I got a FastPass to keep for Jungle Cruise. Then I decided to checkout Tom Sawyer Island because I had never been there before. My friend Gail texted me while I was over there and she wanted to meet up. So, I told them where I was and she said okay we haven't done that yet so they headed over.

As soon as they got on the island it started to rain and they told us we had to leave. We ducked into a gift shop as we waited for the rain to stop. We decided to head to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor since they hadn't done it yet and since Gail's husband Joe had never done it. We headed out after that and met up with Gail's daughter and son in- law, Kendra and Josh and we headed over to the Polynesian because we were going to be eating at Ohana, which I've heard is amazing!

We got to Poly and had some time so we walked around he second floor because I was the only one who had been here before. We got seated and the food was amazing! I don't want to ruin how they do the dinner but they bring you endless food. All of us couldn't move by the end of the meal. It was one of the best dinners I've had since I've been here. Not only was the food amazing, but we laughed so much and had a fantastic time. People around us probably thought we were nuts.

After dinner we shopped on the first floor. Kendra and Josh ended up buying this really cool looking fiberglass stingray to put in there new house. After that we rode the monorail to the Grand Floridian and walked around there but all the shops were closed so we headed back, said our goodbyes and I went back to the apartment and crashed! I hope I get to give them a proper goodbye before they leave on Sunday, especially because its Kendra's birthday on Saturday.

Best work day and Starlit Splash

Well I knew today was gonna be brutal, so I prepared myself. I drank a cappuccino, grabbed two gatorades and two bottles of water. I seriously thought about calling in but I braved it out. When we got there Kevin and Ally got pulled to shadowed in other departments and Shaye and I had not so we were freaking out. Then we found out we were pulled too! We were shadowing a house person and dispatch.

I was sent to shadow a houseperson and Shaye went to dispatch. When I go to the resort the houseperson I was supposed to follow got the day off so I found the manager and she sent me to follow one of the people from Haiti and you know how they are, he made me stack sheets and then he disappeared and didn't tell me where he went. So I went to the managers office and said that he left me and then I said would I be more useful as a checkout assistant and she said that was a great idea so I worked with someone as a checkout assistant.

All you have to do is strip beds and grab all the garbage. That was brutal because we were filling up giant garbage bags in every room. But honestly Iiked it better then being a housekeeper. At noon we breaked for lunch, I actually got to take an hour lunch! You're guaranteed one as checkout assistant. I ended up switching shifts so I could get another day off when my mom is here.

Then I switched with Shaye and went to Dispatch. All you do there is sit and answer the phone. I mean what she was doing was more complex then that but I was just sitting there watching so easy afternoon! Finished up at about 4:15. Then I headed back to Chatham. Steve was chilling so he said I could come over. I grabbed my computer and changed and headed over.

He had made stuffed shells and I brought garlic bread so it was perfect. I changed a dining reservation for when my mom is here. Then we got ready and despite the fact that it was raining we went to Typhoon Lagoon because they were open for CP's from 7PM til midnight. I got a free shirt as I went in and met Kevin who works with Steve, PJ and BreeAnna. We went in the wave pool and then did the slides and got something to eat cause the food was free!! Jack Sparrow came out for pictures. Later on the dance floor we found Chris and Javier our friends from a while ago and some pirates came out to join the party. Then they shot off fireworks just for us!!! And finally Ricky showed up and we danced until midnight when the party was over. It was such a fun time! Steve had to pick up someone from the airport after. I didn't want to go but I didn't want to make him drive me back so I went. I came back, killed a cockroach in my closet, bent a nail back while doing it and now it's almost 2 AM so I'm gonna crash!
