Well in all my years of living I had never had to work on the Fourth of July, until today. I didn't have any checkouts or anything just all occupied rooms, unforunately they were all occupied by Brazilians. I am not a racist by any means but seriously these rooms were horrible.
The amount of garbage on the floor still baffles me. I mean do they not have garbage cans where they are from? They cut off all these price tags of crap they buy and just throw them anywhere. The biggest problem is when they shower and they don't close the shower curtain, I've seen the bathroom floor have about an inch of standing water which takes forever to mop up.
Luckily I didn't have to deal with that to much because it was only their second day! They didn't shower! I just moved quick and if there was a sopping wet towel I may have accidently held over their suitcase as I walked out of the room. If they had stuff on the bed, it didn't get made. Anyway I could skip something believe me I did. I did take a lunch and still finished by 3:15.
After work I wanted to see fireworks, being the Fourth of July. I thought about going to Magic Kingdom, but they were full to capacity 70,000 people. Crazy right? So then I thought Epcot where they have the most fireworks. I got there and there was just so many people. I was in my car for 20 minutes and a whole row in the parking lot filled up. I guess I wanted to leave more so because I really didn't want to get stuck in traffic as I tried to leave.
So, I thought I would try Downtown Disney to see a movie. I went down one row to park got stuck behind some lady who was try to take this one guys parking space who was next to her not in front of or behind her so she wanted to back up to get the space but I couldn't move because there was someone behind me and we couldn't go around her either because there was someone taking a parking space right next to us, I must have been stuck there for ten minutes. When I finally got free, I was fuming and I got out of there, said screw this and left.
I stopped at Art of Animation and Pop Century and while I was on the bridge between the two I saw a sea turtle in the water, which was awesome! Then I made one more stop at Caribbean Beach and headed back to the apartment. So, in the end I saw no fireworks this Fourth of July, but when I got back I found that little gecko again, still in my apartment. Oh the fun life I lead.
