It has come to my attention that more people are reading my blog then I had once thought... Well thanks for the interest but this is a simple little blog where I complain about my job and detail what I did for that day, so don't think this is a tell-all autobiography, just giving you a heads up.
Anyway back to the stuff I normally blab about. So the morning meeting was interesting. The managers gave out all these "great job" cards. You see they have a quality assessment team go around and check our rooms and they give them a score out of 100. So if you do well you get a card and a candy bar. So guess who got a 94...me! I can't say I wasn't surprised, I mean hello I've never done this job before and suddenly I'm getting recognized for doing a great job? Crazy right?
Well I already dislike our manager of the managers as I will call her. So having to high five her (cause apparently I'm still in high school) was a little awkward so yeah that was the exciting part of the day. My board sucked, 5 checkouts and 2 linen changes. I seriously thought I wasn't gonna finish because we didn't even get to start until like 9. Luckily I did finish about 4. I left but then Heather from work couldn't start her car, so I stayed with her while she waited for Triple AAA.
I left around 5. Went to my apartment, then to Target to get some last minute things for a surprise birthday party that we were throwing for Steven. I ended up getting dinner for Heather and hung out with her for awhile. Then I picked up Ricky and we headed to Steven's to decorate. The apartment actually turned out pretty awesome, Ricky was super excited about the whole thing! Of course, his roommates were acting... a little immature to say the least. We started decorating about 10:30, Steve got out of work at midnight but didn't get back until around 1.
He was so exhausted and I guess a little sick (something is going around), I felt bad we were making him stay up any longer than we had to. But we all sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the candles.. Apparently it's tradition in Puerto Rico to smoosh cake on the birthday persons face, so Ricky did that. We took some pictures and Steve opened his gifts. We left around 2. He said he had a good time but I can't be sure haha
