Welcome to my blog! My name is Scott and I will be going to Walt Disney World to participate in the Disney College Program for the 2013 Spring Advantage Semester. I was recently asked to explain what the program is (thanks Elissah!) and since that is a great idea, I will explain it in the post so anyone who has the same question will know as well. The Disney College Program is an internship in which college students get to experience not only living with people from all over the world and living on there own, but also working at the happiest place on Earth! The process is pretty standard, you fill out an application online and then you are asked to fill out an online survey, if you qualify then you are asked to schedule a phone interview and if the phone interview goes well then you will be given the role you have been put in and you have to either accept the offer or turn it down. For me this is the second time I have applied, the first time I applied was for the Fall Advantage Program. I applied in January and I had to wait till the end of March to find out that I wasn't accepted. This time I applied in September and found out I was excepted the same month! I will be in housekeeping which isn't the most glamorous of jobs, but I am there more for the experience then anything else and who knows what type of doors this may open? Everyone that I have told about the program have said that it's perfect for me! So I will update everyone on here.
