As I mentioned yesterday, Michelle and her family were going to spend a second day at Magic Kingdom so thats where they headed. Unfortunately, since I wanted to meet up with them in the park; I had to go to work. Apparently we were overstaffed because I was an Extra.
So I got all these random rooms throughout the one building, but I only ended up with three checkouts. The biggest problem was that the extra metro wasn't stocked... At all! So it took forever and a day to stock it, which sucked. Good news however was that I only had 14 rooms so I got to finish and leave early as I had hoped.
After work I immediately headed over to Magic Kingdom. Michelle told me they were in line for the boys first time on Splash Mountain. I was hoping to catch them before they went on but I didn't make it!
When they got off the ride she told me that they rode Haunted Mansion and it broke down on them... Twice, they rode Big Thunder Mountain, which the youngest loved! Also, they had gotten FastPasses for Peter Pan's Flight. They still had a bit before they were valid so we waited in line to see Aladdin and Jasmine. The youngest took a nap as we waited which was good because later found out that there was Extra magic hours until 1 am. He woke up when we were next in line. The oldest asked Aladdin how Abu was doing.
After that they rode Peter Pan, I just walked around for a bit then we met up again and decided to ride the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, since it was only a 20 minute wait. At that point we had covered everything they wanted to do except Tomorrowland so we headed there.
We decided to eat so we headed to Cosmic Rays again since they had food that everyone liked. Before I sat down I ran to get Fastpasses for Space Mountain. We ate and then we rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Since we all love Stitch, Michelle decided she wanted to ride Stitch's Great Escape. The boys didn't really like it cause of the dark. The youngest said it creeped him out a little. We rode the Peoplemover after. Since we still had some time before Space Mountain, we decided to split up.
The youngest wanted to ride the Astro Orbiter and the oldest didn't, instead he really wanted to ride the Tomorrowland Speedway again. So, Pete and the oldest went on the speedway and Michelle, the youngest and I headed to the Astro Orbiter. Once we saw the wait was 35 minutes we skipped it and the little guy decided to check out Club 626 and he got to dance with Stitch a little bit. He high-fived Goofy and Stitch, so he was excited.
Since the others weren't back yet Michelle let him decide if he wanted to do Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor or Buzz again and he picked the laugh floor. So we got in line, unfortunately we missed the fireworks because we were waiting inside. Michelle told Pete where we were and they met up with us and we saw the show together. Finally it was time to ride Space Mountain! Michelle asked and since the boys would have to sit completely alone she decided that she didn't want to do that to them so the adults rode.
I told Michelle and Pete to go together first. Mostly because our Fastpasses were for 10:10 until 11:10 and it was 10:50 so k didn't think they were gonna make it back in time. They went and then Michelle and I were gonna try to go but it was 11:13. She went to ask if we could use them and since it was after 11 only resort guests could get on. So the lady ignored Michelle, so Michelle complained that we were passed the time because we were ignored and we got on. I love her quick thinking. I just used Pete's resort card.
After that the youngest really wanted to ride Big Thunder Mountain again so we headed over there and since the oldest didn't want to we told him he could take two grown-ups with him and he picked Michelle and I. After that we had asked if the oldest wanted to ride Splash Mountain again but he didn't want to. So we headed out. I asked if she thought I should call in to work the next day to see them before they left and since they were leaving around 4, I would have missed them completely of I didn't call in. Since they all wanted to see me, I decided I would call in. Plus, by the time I got back and went to bed it was 2 AM. So it was the right decision!

Animal Kingdom...Round Two!?!?!
Today was a very awesome day because we had discussed options last night and Michelle had decided that she loved Animal Kingdom so much that she wanted to do one more day there, which meant that their second day at the Magic Kingdom had to be postponed one more day so they bought another night in their room and now they aren't checking out until Monday the 1st. So, once again we slept in until 9/10 and by the time we got to the park it was close to or after 11.
We started off by getting a few more Wilderness Explorer badges for the boys and since the youngest really wanted to, we went over to Dinosaur and rode that again. The oldest really didn't want but eventually Michelle was able to talk him into it. Then we had deja vu, we got Fastpasses for Kali River Rapids...again! The boys got some more badges and then we were able to get another FastPass, so, we got one for Everest...again!
Since we had a bit before either pass was good we walked around the Maharajah Jungle Trek. We got to the building with the bats and apparently due to an incoming storm they closed the path. So we could either stay in the bat enclosure or leave the path. Everyone started to be escorted out except us until we were the last ones in the bat building. They asked us if we wanted to leave but we kinda didn't because both rides we were waiting for were near the jungle trek, but since if it did started to storm we would be locked inside the bat enclosure...we left.
The storm seemed to blow over so the rides were up again and it was time for Kali River Rapids. Since her oldest apparently doesn't like to get wet unless he's in a pool we didn't tell him about the ride. I ended up suggesting we wear our rain ponchos and Michelle was thrilled with the idea. That way he could still ride, but he wouldn't get very wet! Once again, the youngest loved it! The oldest, I'm pretty sure he didn't like getting wet, even a little. It started to rain hard so we waited under shelter for a minute and when it let up we headed over to Everest.
Since the boys weren't quite ready for the yeti, the grown-ups took turns. I went with Michelle first, while Pete stayed with the boys. She loved it! She said it was just enough for a roller coaster so that it was to much. I was just excited I got to go on with her for her first time! When we got back Michelle was gonna have Pete go with me but I suggested that they go together. I mean she told me that up until this day she hasn't ridden a roller coaster since she was pregnant with her oldest son, he's 7. So I was thrilled that I could let them go enjoy a roller coaster together. They had a blast.
Next up, we headed to Dinoland to the Dig Site. The boys got to run around, get some more badges and we got some cool pictures. Then, after telling them we must see it, we finally headed over to the Festival of the Lion King. I guess during the show one of the monkeys came and picked fleas off the boys, I somehow missed that. The oldest said he liked the show, the youngest said he didn't...because it wasn't long enough! After that we had pretty much covered everything that they wanted to do that we didn't do yesterday.
We headed out the boys were fine with McDonald's (again) but the adults wanted something more filling. On that note we headed to Downtown Disney. The grow ups had dinner at the infamous Earl of Sandwich! Which they loved! I mean c'mon it's Earl! We walked through a few shops and called it a night.

Getting wild for a first visit to Animal Kingdom!
Today was a very exciting day, not only was it the boys first time going to Animal Kingdom but it was also Michelle and Pete's first time too! The first thing we did was get a FastPass for the Kilmanjaro Safari.
As we waited for that we walked on the Pangani Forest Trek. Michelle was trying to find these books for the boys to do called Wilderness Explorer books. Basically, you go around the park and do various activities and get badges. We found them on the trail so the boys started collecting badges right away.Once our safari passes were good we got FastPasses for the Kali River Rapids. Then it was time for the Safari! We saw a lot of animals! Let's see ostriches, flamingos, hippos, alligators, elephants, antelope, giraffes, wildebeasts, warthogs and so many more! . Since we had a while before they were valid, we headed to Rafiki's Planet Watch. The boys got some more badges and Michelle loved the whole conservation area. Of course the boys also met Rafiki!
By the time we got back we were able to get another FastPass so because Michelle really wanted to we got FastPasses for Everest! Unforunately it started to downpour, which put a damper on the rest of the day, they closed both the rapids and Everest. We were huddled under this area near the River Rapids waiting for the rain to let up. We grabbed some ice cream for the kids and pretzels for the adults right before the rain started. After standing in the shelter for about 20 minutes we decided to do soething constructive instead of wasting the day so we went and saw Finding Nemo the Musical.
It's a good show but since we got there 15 minutes before showtime we were sitting all the way in the back and the boys couldn't see much, but we moved them around so they could see what they could. After the show the rain let up a little so we headed over to Dinosaur. The youngest loved it! And he immediately wanted to do it again, the oldest kept his eyes closed for most of the ride and didn't want to do it again. I was truly amazed at how much the little one liked it!
Then we saw the It's Tough to Be A Bug show in the Tree of Life. Michelle loved how cool the show was along with all the "surprises" she thought it was adorable. On our way out, we walked through some shops and for dinner we decided to try to get into Rainforest Cafe and lucky for us we got in within 5 minutes! We ate dinner and even though the park closed at 7 we didn't leave until almost 9. We headed back and called it a night.

A first visit to the Magic Kingdom is always amazing!
Today we had a pretty late start because the boys especially hadn't ever woke up early and stayed out late back to back. So, today we ended up at Magic Kingdom. We all agreed that Magic Kingdom was easily gonna take them two days to do. We took the monorail over which was the boys first time on the monorail, so that was exciting! On our way in we asked the boys if they wanted to meet the princesses and they said yes so we got FastPasses for it. Since we had awhile, Michelle decided which part they wanted to start at and that's where we headed. She decided to start with Storybook Circus!
Since the morning/early afternoon was already hot and humid we tried to see if the boys wanted to go in the Splash 'N' Soak, since she had brought their bathing suits just in case. The oldest wouldn't do it, he refused to get wet despite how much he loves the pool. The youngest said he would but only if both he and Michelle changed into their bathing suits and she didn't bring hers so it didn't happen. I suggested we meet Donald and Goofy in Pete's Silly Sideshow and since it's not only air conditioned but the wait was only 20 minutes, it was perfect.
After that we tried to decide whether to ride The Barnstormer (mini roller-coaster) or Dumbo. We ended up on Dumbo. They loved that they could play on a playground while they waited and the grown-ups did too. Pete (Michelle's husband) sat with the oldest, I sat with the youngest and Michelle went alone. They both seemed to enjoy the ride which was great! I was happy I got to go on with them, I mean a kid's first time on Dumbo is a big deal!
Next, we headed over to the Tomorrowland Speedway. This time I went with the oldest, Michelle with the youngest and Pete by himself. I just had to push the pedal. He did an awesome job steering, only bummed the track three times! Not bad for a new driver!! We grabbed lunch at Cosmic Ray's. After lunch it was time to meet the princesses!
As some of you may know, at Town Square Theater you meet Cinderella, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Rapunzel. So, we met Rapunzel first, the oldest said he was gonna ask her how Eugene was (for those who don't know that's Flynn's real name, and if you don't know who Flynn is then I can't help you) I didn't think he would actually do it but he did and it was the funniest and most adorable thing I've seen! The youngest asked about Pascal. They also discussed dragons. They must have talked to her for a while because the other two princesses were waiting by the time we were done! Aurora they didn't say much to because they haven't seen her movie, and Cinderella, I told the oldest to ask about the mice but I don't think he knew who I was talking about so he didn't but they talked to her for a little bit and that was it.
We headed on over to Adventureland after that and decided on the Enchanted Tiki Room. The youngest who not only likes birds but also seems to want to do almost everything a second time, wanted to do it again. The oldest didn't seem to like it. Next we rode the Flying Carpets of Aladdin, luckily we all fit in one carpet so that was fun. Next up, we did Pete's favorite Pirates of the Caribbean. The oldest was kinda freaked out because of the darkness so he sat in between his parents while the youngest sat with me. The oldest didn't like it at all, he didn't like the drop, he didn't like the dark and he didn't watch most of the time. The youngest said he wanted to do it again so I'm assuming he liked it.
After that we got FastPasses for the Jungle Cruise and in the meantime we got the infamous Dole Whips, which Michelle and her family have only had in Hawaii. The boys wanted to meet Tiana but that didn't work out. So, we rode the Jungle Cruise. The boys liked seeing the animals but they didn't get the corny jokes from the skipper.
After the ride we headed out cause we were all pretty pooped. We took the boat back, since we took the monorail over and just as we got back Wishes (fireworks) started so we stood on the dock and watched. Then we headed back and called a night

First Visit to Hollywood Studios!
Today was an awesome day! It was my "nephews" first time in a Disney Park! I got up around 8:45, left about 9:15 and grabbed breakfast on the way and headed to their hotel. We got to Hollywood Studios around 10:30.
Naturally the first thing anyone should do if they are in Hollywood Studios is get a FastPass for Toy Story Midway Mania, so I ran and did that. We met back at the hat and saw Stitch a favorite for all of them, so that was good. On the other side we saw Chip and Dale. Next we headed over to some rides. Since both boys love Star Wars, we did Star Tours. One loved it, the other one wanted to do it again but not til later. We did it again anyway.
Next we saw the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Boys were kinda bored when they were changing sets but it was still a good show, again one loved it the other one hated it. Then we got FastPasses for the Voyage of the Little Mermaid and headed over to the Animation Building. On the way we saw Handy Manny and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Inside, we saw Ralph and Vanellope from Wreck It Ralph.
After that it was time to go see the Little Mermaid. After the show one of the most magical moments of a kids life occurred, the boys met Mickey Mouse for the first time! We headed over and they met Lightning McQueen and Mater and then Phineas and Ferb. Finally it was time to ride Toy Story! We had a great time! The youngest had better accuracy then me! He did very well for his first time! The boys got to play on the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground and then we did the Backlot Tour, yet again one hated the other one loved it.
We grabbed some ice cream, the boys had their first Mickey Bars and we watched some Pattawan Jedi Training show. The boys liked it. Since they loved it so much, we did Star Tours again. On the way out we hit a few stores and then headed back to the resort, and we took a dip in the pool since we all needed to cool down and we got a pizza from the resort and ate that cause we were starving, and then we called it a night

My family is here!!
This morning I decided to get up a little earlier to head to work earlier because I was gonna stop at All-Star Movies and show my id so my sister would not have a problem checking in because today's the day she arrives in Disney! At work we had a morning meeting. Nothing really interesting. I only had three checkouts so not a bad day work wise. I don't know if it's because I was so excited or what but even after taking a lunch, I finished at 3:15!
After work I naturally was gonna rush over to see them but being that I was sweaty and gross and I knew they were in the pool I decided to go get a ticket, so we wouldn't have to worry about it in the morning and then I headed back to get a shower. Back at the apartment our crazy, party roommate taped a note to our door about how we don't clean the apartment and all I can think is when I start using the other rooms then I will clean them. I really hate them. Anyway, I met them at their resort. When I saw them in the cafeteria, Colin (the youngest) comes running up to me to give me a hug it was adorable!
After that we went to Downtown Disney, we were originally gonna eat at T-Rex but the wait was an an hour and a half! Then we were gonna go to Earl of Sandwich but there was nothing the boys would have liked so we ended up at Bodies/ Pollo Campero. Food was just okay and since I ordered my meal and one of the kids, the stupid lady messed it up she ordered mine and handed me a pager and I'm like I wasn't finished yet! So she writes it on and then they don't have it for like 20 minutes!! Everyone else had to wait for us to eat, probably won't eat there again!
After that we went into T-Rex and the boys did Build-A-Dino. They were so excited! Their new friends are named Spike and Spiky (they did not consult one another on the names) the. We headed out since everyone was kinda beat and we just stopped at Target and then headed back to their resort. Tomorrow is out first day in the parks!!

Best Manager Ever!
Another day, another dollar. Only had two checkouts today not bad. My manager was a little down today so I listened to her talk. Also is so awesome! She got me off Thursday, the only day that got denied twice! So now I get to see my sis and her family Wednesday-Saturday. I'm so excited to see them!!
After work I got my haircut probably for the last time while I'm down here, which worked out cause the girl I've been going to is moving back to hometown in three weeks. I got gas and grabbed dinner. Then I came back to the apartment and just kinda relaxed until I saw a gecko running around our room. I chased him for a good hour and still have yet to catch him. But I have work so I need to sleep, how he doesn't bite me :/

My managers are awesome sometimes!!
Work was kinda weird today. Well first I was originally off so that may have been part of the reason. Anyway so out manager today says oh not to many checkouts, I see people who have like 1 or none and I think okay this is gonna be an easy day... I get 7. My manager said I need to speak to you when she gave me my board and I was like... Okay?? I said did you want me to wait and she's like no go ahead.
Later both of my managers came and found me, they said so what days did you want off this week (since my family is coming) and I said well I found people to cover for me for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but I didn't find anyone for Saturday. So they said okay well we're gonna talk to the scheduling manager for you, I mean if we could get days off for someone else last week why not you? At that they left.
So later they come back and they're like guess what... You're off Saturday! And I'm like how, and they just said oh we just sold you to her. We said how you're a good housekeeper, good worker, always do what you're asked. So she did it! I was in shock, I mean I've been trying to get this week off for a month and after being denied like 3 times, I finally get them! I'm beyond excited!!!
After work I told my sis the good news! They are getting excited!! I was just walking around Target since my roommate was at the apartment, after we got off the phone, I grabbed dinner and ended up going to Downtown Disney and saw the movie This is the End.
It wasn't hilariously funny but it had its moments. I doubt I would sit through it again though. I feel like its one of those movies you watch once and you say been there saw that. After the movie I grabbed a little snack and headed back and called it a night.

Successful Day at Magic Kingdom
Today was my only day off and I still woke up at 7:30. I just decided to get ready because I figured I was already up anyway. So I actually left here by 8:15! I know I'm just as amazed as you are. I headed to my resort actually and decided to hunt down somebody who was wiling to switch off days with me so I cod actually be off next week.
After walking around for about an hour I found someone to switch with, I just have to keep my fingers crossed that it gets approved. After that I decided to head to Magic Kingdom. However, being the lazy person I am, I went to the Polynesian and took the monorail. Which I think is perfectly acceptable since security said I can't go in the pool or the beach (apparently) she mentioned nothing of the monorail.
Once at the Magic Kingdom I headed toward the castle because I was looking for the Fairy Godmother. I never get to see her because she always comes out in the mornings and usually by the time I get there she's gone. Unfortunately she wasn't there. I headed over to Adventureland and decided to play the new Pirate's Adventure interactive game. Basically you walk around Adventureland with a treasure map and things will move or talk it's actually pretty cool!
I did two of the five adventures and then the game broke down so I decided to get lunch and I ate at Tortuga Tavern. I've been trying to eat there for a while but it's only open until 3 so I usually miss that as well. After lunch it as still down so I played the Sorcerer card game. I defeated Yzma from the Emperor's New Groove and I went on to defeat Chernabog and Hades which led me to win the game! I am now a Master Sorcerer. Now I can go back around and defeat them all again on medium as opposed to easy.
After that the Pirates Adventure was back up. So, I did the other three adventures and found all of Calypso's treasures! Also a pretty cool thing. By that time it was really hot so I got a Pineapple Float and headed towards the exit. One of the cashiers asked me it was good because she'd never had one. I was like but you work here how have you never had one? I told her it was delicious and that she needed to go right after work to have a Dole Whip.
I got on the resort monorail and headed to the Contemporary. I checked around for pins and finally got back to the Polynesian. Next I went to Cast Connection and got some pins and this Beauty and the Beast statue that was originally $52 and I got it for $13! After that I was gonna go to meet Heather, since I had run into her at one of the stores but my mom wanted to Skype.
I went back to the apartment and Skyped with my mom and went through all my junk. After that I got a late dinner at Subway which is apparently less then a mile from here and talked to a few people on Facebook. Once again instead of watching a movie on Netflix, I dozed off.

Deployment sucks
Today was an odd day to say the least. We had our morning meeting; nothing really exciting about that but then I went to get my board and found out I was deployed to another location. Instead of being in Rock like usual, I was in Calypso which lucky for me has suites. To top it all off I ended up with three suite checkouts. I've never been so stressed in all my life.
It took from 9-1 to do all three suite checkouts, the last one there was so much garbage I couldn't believe it. After that I had three suites occupied and 8 occupied regular rooms. My first occupied suite was a nightmare I don't know if I was exhausted or just stressed or what but I literally balled my eyes out in that room saying I can't do this anymore and my nose was bleeding too it was just a great experience all the way around.
Luckily, I managed to finish at 4 and leave which was good. After work I went back to the apartment. I was gonna meet up with Terry again but due to rain I just got dinner and headed back. My roommate really wanted me to go with him to see the new Monsters University movie but I knew being opening day at Disney it was gonna be packed. He left to go and I eventually decided to join him but he had already gotten a ticket and the show was now sold out so I went back. He came back 15 minutes later and threw a fit because he had to change his ticket for tourists apparently and that was the end of the day.

Boring Day
Nothing much to report today, let's see I had 5 checkouts and 4 linen changes but one of my checkouts didn't leave until 3:30 so I didn't have to do that room at all! I actually finished at 3! I can't believe it! I ended up helping Joanne finish and left work around 3:45.
After work I went back to the apartment, heated up my leftovers from Il Mutino and watched this weeks The Fosters and Twisted. After that I pretty much got comfortable and fell asleep. Sorry that it wasn't that exciting of a day todday.

Finally some fun again!
I feel bad that all I do on this blog is list the boring day at work that I had. Well here it goes again! Today I had the usual, 4 checkouts and 4 linen changes. One of my checkouts ended up being a stay over so I didn't had to clean it as a checkout which was good. I actually got to take a 20 minute lunch and I finished around 3:20 which was a miracle, trust me!
After work I drove back to the apartment and changed and hen got gas, I got to talk to my sis for a little bit before I had to meet someone. I headed to Old Key West because my friend Terry and her husband just came into town!!! We got together and she walked me around her resort which is beautiful by the way!
We had dinner reservations at Il Mulino which is at the Swan and Dolphin Resort. It was seriously the classiest place I've ever eaten at in my life. They put the napkin practically on my lap, there was two forks, two wine glasses and even a restroom attendant. They brought some dish compliments of the chef, it had eggplant, tomatoes, cheese and sausage in it. It was okay, they brought that with bread.
They had ordered three appetizers! Calamari, some rice ball thing and meatballs. The rice things were good, the meatballs were just okay and believe it or not I actually tried calamari, (yes I am aware that its octopus). It was kinda chewy and salty. It was just okay, I mean I've eaten worse things. We all got pasta for dinner. I got the Tortellini, it was pretty good. After our meal they brought us some complimentary lemon gelato? I think it was called. It was this really strong alcohol that burn on the way down. Terry described as a melted lemon head if that gives you any indication what it tasted like.
After dinner we headed to Saratoga Springs because they wanted to see the model for the vacation club villas they are building at the Grand Floridian, but it was closed. So we just went to Downtown Disney. We walked around there and they saw Splitsville for the first time, we actually walked around inside. I didn't know that the balcony is free to the public (you can get a good picture of Downtown there!) did you also know that there's only ten lanes on the first floor but twenty on the second!
After that we headed to Bongos and Terry finally got her mojito that she'd be talking about for days! I got a mango daiquiri which was actually pretty good! After the drinks we ran into their son and his friend and they went on their way and we left. Once we got back to the hotel, we said our goodbyes and I went back to the apartment to crash as usual.

I thought Disney was all about families??
Another morning meeting, another 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I got my board and it was pretty much identical to the one from yesterday. 4 checkouts and 2 linen changes but with an exciting twist, only 17 rooms because I was on all three floors of the building!!
My day only got worse from there. First the linen room door ( which is where our carts are) was locked and engineering had to come and fix it. I cut my arm on the spout in the tub of a room. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse. The schedule for next week went up. I asked for 4 days off for when my sister was here as she is bringing my two nephews for their first visit. Not only did I not get four days off but the two days I did get off are the only two that they are not here.
Pretty much this job has not become worth it in anyway, I mean I can't enjoy any of the perks so why keep the job? After work I went to my friend Heather's. We watched Pretty Little Liars and Twisted. After that I left and pretty much called a night.

Day in and day out
Another exciting day in the life of me. 4 checkouts, 1 linen change and 2 different floors. If that wasn't enough to tick me off, my manager pretty much said I didn't get my days off I requested. She says they are asking people to cover for me but yeah right who is willing gonna work more days? I pretty much just can't wait until I leave and be done with all this.
It's ridiculous! I can't get any days off when I want, most of my coworkers are rude and this job couldn't be any worse. Honestly if I'd have known this is what I was gonna be like, I wouldn't have accepted it. Anyway, I left work it was almost 4:30. All I did was go back to the apartment and started to do laundry.
While it was drying I went to Target, where the cashier asked me of I was from Florida and I said no, then he guessed California and I was no. Then I was like do I looks tan enough to live in either one of those places and he was like well you look tan. I was like thanks. Once I got back I ate and watched the premiere episode of Devious maids (appropriate for me right?) and that was awesome! Now I'm gonna crash to do it again tomorrow... Woo

Finally ate at Planet Hollywood!!!
Someday when I'm off I will actually accomplish things that I want to do before I leave! I literally had the exact same morning as yesterday. Slept until about 9, didn't actually get ready until 12 and left around 1.
I decided to go to Downtown Disney because this weekend only they were doing the Cars Masters Weekend. Basically a car show but with Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissle making appearances as well. I guess there was also some famous car designer or something?? Don't know, didn't really care. Anyways so I took the picture of the three cars and his monster truck made special for Monsters University and left. I decided to start taking my pictures of the moderate resorts so naturally I started with Caribbean Beach.
I was there for a couple hours then I just decided to go back to Downtown Disney. I was gonna go to dinner and see a movie. I got my ticket to see the Hangover 3 and set out to find a place to eat. I have been waiting forever to eat at Planet Hollywood and today I finally got to!! I gotta say me who loves movies should have eaten there a long time ago. They have so many movie props and costumes and they play great music!!! I loved it! They had costumes worn by Leonardo DiCaprio and Late Winslet in Titanic and Dorothy's dress from the Wizard of Oz! Those were just some of the more widely known ones.
After dinner I went to the movie and it was just okay. I'm glad they kinda wrapped everything up and Melissa McCarthy was in it which helped with the laughs but I don't think they could do another one, I mean this one was already pushing it. After the movie I headed back and pretty much called it a night, 5 day work week ahead!

So much for a productive day!
Well today was supposed to be an eventful day but that kinda changed. First since I didn't get back until about 2 AM yesterday, I actually slept in until 9:30. Seriously I was in slow motion and didn't get out of bed until like 11 and I wasn't ready to go anywhere until like 1 or 2.
That's when I got a text from Heather to come over cause she wanted to talk. So I went to my work really quick because I had a problem logging onto the company website so I had to fix that and grabbed us lunch and headed over. She wanted to ask if I could drive her to work for the next week because her car's engine got flooded.
Later, she found out her parents were bringing her her grandmothers car to use for the week, so that resolved itself. I stayed over there for awhile we watched Warm Bodies, that movie where the zombie falls in love (really stupid don't watch it).
I left around 5:30 and she wanted me to two back the two movies to Redbox. Since I had until 9 I decided to watch the other one which was Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. That movie was awesome! I can't believe it got bad ratings! I returned both and then just decided to walk around and think about stuff. I went to the Boardwalk and walked around there and ended up at Art of Animation. I got dinner there and then walked around outside there. I know not a very eventful day!

Surprise Party!!!
It has come to my attention that more people are reading my blog then I had once thought... Well thanks for the interest but this is a simple little blog where I complain about my job and detail what I did for that day, so don't think this is a tell-all autobiography, just giving you a heads up.
Anyway back to the stuff I normally blab about. So the morning meeting was interesting. The managers gave out all these "great job" cards. You see they have a quality assessment team go around and check our rooms and they give them a score out of 100. So if you do well you get a card and a candy bar. So guess who got a 94...me! I can't say I wasn't surprised, I mean hello I've never done this job before and suddenly I'm getting recognized for doing a great job? Crazy right?
Well I already dislike our manager of the managers as I will call her. So having to high five her (cause apparently I'm still in high school) was a little awkward so yeah that was the exciting part of the day. My board sucked, 5 checkouts and 2 linen changes. I seriously thought I wasn't gonna finish because we didn't even get to start until like 9. Luckily I did finish about 4. I left but then Heather from work couldn't start her car, so I stayed with her while she waited for Triple AAA.
I left around 5. Went to my apartment, then to Target to get some last minute things for a surprise birthday party that we were throwing for Steven. I ended up getting dinner for Heather and hung out with her for awhile. Then I picked up Ricky and we headed to Steven's to decorate. The apartment actually turned out pretty awesome, Ricky was super excited about the whole thing! Of course, his roommates were acting... a little immature to say the least. We started decorating about 10:30, Steve got out of work at midnight but didn't get back until around 1.
He was so exhausted and I guess a little sick (something is going around), I felt bad we were making him stay up any longer than we had to. But we all sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the candles.. Apparently it's tradition in Puerto Rico to smoosh cake on the birthday persons face, so Ricky did that. We took some pictures and Steve opened his gifts. We left around 2. He said he had a good time but I can't be sure haha

Okay, I'll keep quiet
The day started out sucky and seemed to just get weirder by the end of the day. So I got my board six checkouts, wasn't to thrilled with that already. Later the manager comes to visit me and she tells me four people just quit so it wasn't looking good for me getting my days off in two weeks. She went on to ask me if I wanted to buy some rooms. Honestly, I really wasn't interested I mean 6 checkouts already, but I did I bought three more occupied rooms. So, I will get another 27 dollars on my check next week.
The down side, I was in building 4, first floor and the rooms were in building 3,second and third floors. I took my cart all the way across the courtyard and up to the third floor. I get there and clean the room and then find out another housekeeper was assigned to that room. So, I checked the other two. Oddly enough not only were housekeepers already assigned to them but they were in those two rooms.
You better believe I was not happy. I got so angry I went to the managers office and she was there and I started by saying " do you know that these rooms are already assigned? She's like what? So I told her what I just said oh well, at this point you're already getting paid so just don't say anything. Honestly I could have not said anything and she would have thought I did them so yeah. After work, I was exhausted. I grabbed dinner and laid around in bed for the night.

Computers can't be down
One of the more interesting days of work, I must say. So, this morning we get our assigned rooms but with a new exciting twist, we don't know what's a checkout or not. You see the computer system was down this morning so when they printed out our boards they couldn't put the status of the rooms on there because they didn't know them. So, we had to go into our rooms and basically ask the guest if they checked out today. Lucky for me, I would say ten of my 18 rooms were a group so I knew they were all staying.
The bad news? I found that out cause the chaperone told me to come back at 12:30 to do all the rooms. I got into some of my rooms. Only one was a checkout and the rest were all occupied. I got two rooms who just wanted towels and another two who didn't want anything. After the nine rooms I didn't have anywhere to go so I took lunch for 45 minutes. I was gonna go to our cafeteria but it was blocked off by people cutting down trees. Those people told me the cafeteria was closed! I later found out that it wasn't so thanks for lying to me!
So, I ended up walking back to my building and just sitting in the break room there at 12:30 I finally got into some rooms. After like two rooms I decided to walk to All-Star Sports (they have a better cafeteria) at 1:30 and we have to be back from break by 2. Lets just say it was closer then I would have liked. I left around 3:45 from work.
After work, I showered and changed thanks to mother natures and her humidity! Then I grabbed dinner and just went back to the apartment. I watched the first two episodes of The Fosters. So I'm caught up on that show and now I'm gonna go to sleep.

Nothing like a Code V to make you love your job
Have I ever said how much I love my job? Good because I would have been lying. 5 checkouts today on two different floors. I gotta say however was the barf in one of my rooms. The guests stripped all the sheets and everything off the bed and threw a towel over the vomit and put a note on top saying "There is like under this towel. Didn't know how to clean so we left. So sorry"
Excuse me? what do you mean you don't know how to clean it? You mean to tell me if it was at your house you wouldn't know what to do? Okay I'm sure. Luckily our carpet guy just come and takes care of it, thank god or there would have been two piles of puke. Anyways finished at about 4. My legs hurt so bad. I had been on my feet non-stop since 8:30. That's 8 hours of constant moving, I seriously don't know how I can handle it for 57 more days.
After work I headed to Downtown Disney. I got dinner at Earl of Sandwich. I had to do some shopping because Steve's birthday is this Saturday. So I did that and then grabbed some ice cream from Ghirardelli for me and my friend Heather and then headed to her place. We watched the return of Pretty Little Liars and then a new show called Twisted both were awesome! Now time to head to bed and work again tomorrow... Yay

Sorry everyone!
First off I want to take a moment to thank everyone who is actually reading this blog, as I know some of my posts are rather dull and boring (like today's) but thank you to all who have helped make my blog receive almost 6,000 views! Anyway my day was kinda of like ugh from the start.
I had an easier board today, I only had one checkout! They left early to so it was excellent! I finished at about 3. After work I had to get my oil changed because I was overdue and they Becker my bummer which is still hanging on from the accident 3 months ago. After that I got dinner and came back and watched some dumb movie.
My "nephews" finally got they're welcome to Disney care package. They weren't as excited as they could have been but they were excited once they fully understood. So I can't wait to see them in two weeks!!

So long Star Wars Weekends!!
I must say recently there have been alot of days where they are pretty slow and I don't do much, today was not one of those days. I actually slept in until 9. I got up and got ready pretty quick. There was a lovely cockroach in our room, practically on the ceiling, my roommate got it. I ended up leaving around 11. I decided that since today was the last day we would be able to get into the waterparks without having to buy a ticket I went to them to take some last minute pictures.
First up, Typhoon Lagoon. I walked around, got a bunch of pictures and decided to get a magnet and keychain to commemorate the park. After about a half hour I headed to Blizzard Beach. I did the exact same thing, half hour for pictures and got a keychain since they didn't have the magnet, but I will check at Downtown Disney like she suggested.
After that I headed to Hollywood Studios, to meet up with Steve's best friend Katlyne and her boyfriend since it was their last day. Steve and Ricky also came so we had a whole bunch of us! Today was also the final day for Star Wars Weekends, who h was part of the reason I'm glad we went there cause I hadn't been to one yet!
I went to the Darth Mall first to look at merchandise and for something I was asked to find which sold out two days ago but anyway inside there was so much! Portraits, tons of collectible a and you could meet Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and R2D2. The gang found me in that store by luck it was kinda funny and we were gonna ride Star Tours but the wait was to long so we just walked around and decided on the Backlot Tour, usually boring but they added new costumes at the end they have two gowns from the Oz movie and one from Chicago! Pretty cool right??
After that we got lunch at the ABC Commissionary. I got the Darth Vader cupcake, which was insanely good but really sweet. We had to hurry after that cause Katlyne and her boyfriend had to get to their resort to catch the Magical Express. We all went to Saratoga Springs and said our goodbyes. Ricky and Steve left to go to Magic Kingdom (Steve was meeting someone and Ricky had work) so I headed back to Hollywood Studios.
I walked around I saw and took pictures of alot of characters! I saw Mickey as Luke Skywalker and Minnie as Princess Leia, Goofy as Darth Vader and Donald as a Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, Darth Maul, Tusken Raiders (one of them booped me on the nose!), Jango Fett, Chewbacca and an Ewok, Chip and Dale dressed as I think Tusken Raiders and that was it. I didn't wait in all the lines I just took pictures as I saw them and they turned out good! After that I decided to head to a water park one more time before I couldn't anymore.
I went to Blizzard Beach again and rode everything there. I even went down Summit Plummet ( the giant slide that you can see from miles away) it was scary! It just feels like you're falling, I don't know if I'd do it again by I'm glad I can say that I did it! After the waterpark I headed to Magic Kingdom.
All I did was get a Pineapple Float and say hi to Ricky since today he was working at the gift that Pirates of the Carribbean! After that I was about ready to collapse so I headed back and called it a day.

Did I actually make more work for myself?
This morning I for real was in a bad mood. Like I just woke up and went through the motions. I went to work for my one day of work and my board wasn't horrible only 2 checkouts and 4 linen changes. Earlier on in the day the manager (not the one I like but the one I get along with on occasion) she came into my room. She just started complaining about her day and whatever. Now people who know me personally know that sarcasm knows no bounds when it comes from my mouth, especially when I'm in a bad mood. So, she was talking about how her boss (the one I can't stand) was complaining about the way she checks a room I guess the head boss said something like don't touch the shower liner you're gonna get sick or something along those lines.
I opened my mouth and said "I think she is so full of herself, I mean has she even done housekeeping before?" Oh yeah I went there. She kinda hesitated for a minute and said honestly I don't think she has and then we had a bonding moment over our disdain for her boss. It was kinda funny. If nothing else she got me to laugh and I think I can almost call is friends after that point. A little later she came back and said you know you're really doing a good job cleaning, do you wanna buy a room? (Sometimes when a housekeeper goes home sick or whatever then they have to have someone clean the rooms they were supposed to do, so they sell them to other housekeepers as in we make extra money on top of our hourly pay) so she offered me a checkout in the building across the courtyard for $13. I almost didn't take it but it was only 10 and I had already finished both my checkouts so I did.
Later I found another one of my rooms left early so they became a surprise checkout. So I ended up with four checkouts honestly still not bad. One of my rooms was a DND anyway so I still only did 18 rooms like usual. I left about 4. Naturally it didn't rain all day until I was leaving from work. It got so dark that all the lights came on around the building. It was kinda freaky!
Anyway I was supposed to meet up with Katlyne and her boyfriend at Hollywood Studios but due to the down pour I post-poned it until tomorrow. I did my usual, got dinner and went back to the apartment and watched a movie. I watched a Radio Rebel which was a Disney Channel movie. It was pretty good, I wish Disney would find it acceptable to let couples kiss at the end but apparently that's only okay if the characters are animated.

Wow...what a day
I had a great plan to have a successful day to bad that fell through. So I woke up and had a plan for our road trip back home so I called my mom and discussed that with her. Then I headed to the post office and mailed out my "nephews" surprises, thank god!
I decided to have a good breakfast so I headed to Denny's. After that I picked up Ricky and we went to the Millenia mall. It was the first time I'd been there and I've gotta say that mall is immaculate! Not that I have the money to buy anything at those stores but yeah. We were there because we were preparing for Steven's birthday.
After the mall I dropped off Ricky and headed to Animal Kingdom and met up with Steven, his best friend who visited earlier Katlyne and her boyfriend. Steve had to leave for work shortly after I got there but I hung out with Katlyne and her boyfriend for a while. Steve had given me his Fastpasses for the Kilimanjaro Safari and Everest.
We headed over to the safari and did that which was fun! I can't even remember the last time I did the safari so it was cool! Then we headed over to Everest, we got on and the ride broke down. So we were all given Fastpasses to come back. At that point they had dinner reservations so I left and headed to Caribbean Beach.
I got in my hammock and read for about and hour and a half. Next I picked up Ricky and we headed to Target for decorations. After that he was meeting some friend from back home so I drove him to the hotel he was meeting him at and then I drove back myself.
I made a frozen pizza and then I watched the final episodes of Pretty Little Liars which were amazing!! Then I decided to crash, I've got a lot on my mind and I have my one day of work tomorrow.

Thanks Andrea, for raining on my parade!
Finally! I have a day off and what happens it literally pours all day. I guess we have tropical storm Andrea near the Gulf of Mexico so she is hitting us hard. So I decided to be lazy and I got caught up on Pretty Little Liars.
I watched three episodes, then I headed to the post office to Ty and mail out the surprise for my "nephews" but naturally the post office didn't have power so I grabbed some lunch and headed back. I watched another four episodes and as I did I called the post office and got nothing.
I then grabbed dinner and got gas at Hess and headed back. My roommate came back and he wanted me to go to Chick-Fil-A with him but I didn't want to. He ended up grabbing my feet and he started to pull me out of bed. I wanted to kill him. I won, of course and he left.
I watched another three episodes, so in total I watched 10 episodes! I started dozing after that so I crashed around midnight but hey only two more episodes and I'll be caught up!

It's My Friday!
Another day at the All-Star. Only four checkouts today and luck for me I got five DNDs! My manager talked to me in the morning and she asked what I'm going to school for and so I said hospitality and she asked any specific field and I said Front Desk/Concierge so she claims she is gonna get me to shadow there. We will see.
After work I headed to Downtown Disney to get a few last minute touches for my "nephews" surprise. I got postcards with the year and 1st Visit buttons :) I can't wait to see the video of them when they find out! I grabbed some food and headed back to the apartment.
I got on the phone with my sis for a good hour and just kinda lounged around for the night. I was supposed to meet up with some people to go bowling at Splitsville but they were booked, not a big deal but I would like to go there before I leave! Also in Chatham they had a Where's Perry welcoming event and you could even meet Perry from Phineas and Ferb but the line was like two hours long, as much as I would like to have met him it want worth the wait and as usual I crashed.

I love projects!!
I must admit today was better then yesterday, not by much but a little bit. We had our lovely morning meeting, apparently within the next month we are all getting retrained on proper bathroom cleaning techniques! I know exciting right! I only had four checkouts today and they were all gone first thing this morning.
I must have been on slow motion today or something cause I didn't finish until around 4 and with only four checkouts I should have been done sooner! After work I headed to Downtown Disney and got some stuff to announce to my nephews lol (Michelle's kids) that they are coming here. I got these placemats that have the fab five (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto) on it in like 3-D and I'm gonna have the characters sign the back. At the top it's gonna say surprise (put one of their names here) you're going to Disney World! I'm pretty excited about it!
I got dinner at Earl of Sandwich, always good. I went back and tried to figure out exactly what I was gonna write on the placemats and now I just have to set about doing it. I talked to a few friends and Then I pretty much just dosed off.

Ugh... What a day!
Today was one of those days where you know things are gonna go wrong right as the day starts. First I couldn't find my class ring. I didn't have time to look for it so that drove me nuts all day. Then I thought I was gonna be late to work, I made it thank goodness! Then instead of handing out our boards at base like they usually do, they handed them out at the buildings so we immediately needed a ride.
Next I thought because the manager I like is back that I'd be okay, nope 7 checkouts. There was a checkout assistant but she appeared right after I finished the ones that had left and all the others were still inside so she couldn't do anything. She did eventually come back but I only had two checkouts left at that point so she didn't do much. Later the manager sent her to help make my beds but I had one more bed to make in one room.
By the time I finished, I don't think I've ever been more physically exhausted then I was today. My big toe felt like it had a blister or something on it, I couldn't even feel my legs and I was sweating in places I didn't know could sweat. The manager had one houseperson wait to drive me and two other housekeepers back but I just walked. I was fed up and I just wanted to leave. The only bright spot to my day was an envelope with Finding Nemo characters that said thank you mouse keeping, it had 4 dollars inside!
I went back to the apartment and my roommate was sleeping (sort of) and I may have made some noise as I frantically searched for the ring. He got up and left. I found the damn ring. Then my roommate texted me saying I'm going to wee Iron Man 3 you should come. I told him I didn't want to see it again and I was thinking about going to see Hangover 3 but changed my mind.
I went to Target got some ice cream and wine coolers and dinner and headed back. I watched Terms of Endearment, what a beautiful movie! Then my roommate came back and basically seemed like he was drunk... Even though he only drank half a glass of wine. I got a card from my sis which did put a mile on my face. Then he crashed and now I'm gonna crash, gotta wake up early for a repeat of today.

Southern hospitality is dead
Pretty much the same old, 6 checkouts and 2 linen changes. It would have been nice to catch a break since I had 8 checkouts yesterday but no of course not. When I was in one of my checkouts I had two guests bother me.
First I had some sassy woman from the south tap on the window and then curl her finger towards her in a motion to come there. And can I just say I hate when people do that I don't know why but it bothers me. Anyway so she's says do you have room whatever her room number was and I said yes and she says can you leave extra towels, pillows and shampoo. Then her daughter chimes in she's gotta be like 16 and she thinks she's a surfer or something by the way she talks and she says haha yeah you only left us one and there's four people in our room. Then I said yes I can leave you shampoo and towels but for pillows you will have to push the housekeeping button on your phone. Then her daughter says can you make me a turtle (meaning out of towels I'm assuming) and I said no I don't know how to make a turtle and she says oh well just surprise me then. And I'm thinking O shouldn't leave you anything since you just rudely asked me, no please or thank you from either one, what happened to southern hospitality?
Guest number 2 spoke completely in Spanish. Apparently he did not want his room cleaned so he's saying the numbers super slow like he's calling them out at a bingo parlor. Of course it wasn't my room so I had to find the housekeeper whose room it was. Luckily at the end of the day my two linen changes just wanted towels and that was pretty much the excitement of my day.
After work I went back to the apartment, did laundry and then went to target. Came back and watched Mirror Mirror. Which was a pretty good movie actually and then called it a night. I almost went to a park today but I'm glad I didn't, it started to rain and there were bad lightning storms so glad I didn't go.

Chasing bugs is a hobby
Today begins June and in Florida that means it also begins Hurricane season. So that's another thing to look forward to. Work was a pain. The manager I like wasn't there so I was put in the same section as yesterday which today had 16 checkouts. Luckily, she did break it up and I only ended up with 8 checkouts and 3 linen changes. It was still horrible I mean those checkouts alone took me from 9-2 so that's what 5 hours? Yeah so not a good day.
I didn't finish until 4 which I guess was fine since I had a DND and couldn't leave until 4:10 anyway. But I have to say the best part of my day had to be chasing a cockroach around a room. Naturally I can't get him cause he runs so fast and of course the guests come back and are sitting outside waiting so I can't exactly say "hang on I've got a bug in your room so I'll be a few minutes." So I just kept at him, he climbed up the wall, I hit him with a garbage can and he ran toward the door and I jumped on him he was done and then I just vaccumed him up and they never noticed. Oh yes this is my life!
So I left and headed back to the apartment. Then my roommate came back and he actually talked to me! I guess he was just pissed about some guest who knows. Anyway he left and I decided to get a pizza and watch a movie. I watched this wanna be Paranormal Activity movie called Apartment 143. Biggest waste of time ever. After the movie I pretty much called it a night. I know fun right?
