Today was a very awesome day because we had discussed options last night and Michelle had decided that she loved Animal Kingdom so much that she wanted to do one more day there, which meant that their second day at the Magic Kingdom had to be postponed one more day so they bought another night in their room and now they aren't checking out until Monday the 1st. So, once again we slept in until 9/10 and by the time we got to the park it was close to or after 11.
We started off by getting a few more Wilderness Explorer badges for the boys and since the youngest really wanted to, we went over to Dinosaur and rode that again. The oldest really didn't want but eventually Michelle was able to talk him into it. Then we had deja vu, we got Fastpasses for Kali River Rapids...again! The boys got some more badges and then we were able to get another FastPass, so, we got one for Everest...again!
Since we had a bit before either pass was good we walked around the Maharajah Jungle Trek. We got to the building with the bats and apparently due to an incoming storm they closed the path. So we could either stay in the bat enclosure or leave the path. Everyone started to be escorted out except us until we were the last ones in the bat building. They asked us if we wanted to leave but we kinda didn't because both rides we were waiting for were near the jungle trek, but since if it did started to storm we would be locked inside the bat enclosure...we left.
The storm seemed to blow over so the rides were up again and it was time for Kali River Rapids. Since her oldest apparently doesn't like to get wet unless he's in a pool we didn't tell him about the ride. I ended up suggesting we wear our rain ponchos and Michelle was thrilled with the idea. That way he could still ride, but he wouldn't get very wet! Once again, the youngest loved it! The oldest, I'm pretty sure he didn't like getting wet, even a little. It started to rain hard so we waited under shelter for a minute and when it let up we headed over to Everest.
Since the boys weren't quite ready for the yeti, the grown-ups took turns. I went with Michelle first, while Pete stayed with the boys. She loved it! She said it was just enough for a roller coaster so that it was to much. I was just excited I got to go on with her for her first time! When we got back Michelle was gonna have Pete go with me but I suggested that they go together. I mean she told me that up until this day she hasn't ridden a roller coaster since she was pregnant with her oldest son, he's 7. So I was thrilled that I could let them go enjoy a roller coaster together. They had a blast.
Next up, we headed to Dinoland to the Dig Site. The boys got to run around, get some more badges and we got some cool pictures. Then, after telling them we must see it, we finally headed over to the Festival of the Lion King. I guess during the show one of the monkeys came and picked fleas off the boys, I somehow missed that. The oldest said he liked the show, the youngest said he didn't...because it wasn't long enough! After that we had pretty much covered everything that they wanted to do that we didn't do yesterday.
We headed out the boys were fine with McDonald's (again) but the adults wanted something more filling. On that note we headed to Downtown Disney. The grow ups had dinner at the infamous Earl of Sandwich! Which they loved! I mean c'mon it's Earl! We walked through a few shops and called it a night.
