I feel bad that all I do on this blog is list the boring day at work that I had. Well here it goes again! Today I had the usual, 4 checkouts and 4 linen changes. One of my checkouts ended up being a stay over so I didn't had to clean it as a checkout which was good. I actually got to take a 20 minute lunch and I finished around 3:20 which was a miracle, trust me!
After work I drove back to the apartment and changed and hen got gas, I got to talk to my sis for a little bit before I had to meet someone. I headed to Old Key West because my friend Terry and her husband just came into town!!! We got together and she walked me around her resort which is beautiful by the way!
We had dinner reservations at Il Mulino which is at the Swan and Dolphin Resort. It was seriously the classiest place I've ever eaten at in my life. They put the napkin practically on my lap, there was two forks, two wine glasses and even a restroom attendant. They brought some dish compliments of the chef, it had eggplant, tomatoes, cheese and sausage in it. It was okay, they brought that with bread.
They had ordered three appetizers! Calamari, some rice ball thing and meatballs. The rice things were good, the meatballs were just okay and believe it or not I actually tried calamari, (yes I am aware that its octopus). It was kinda chewy and salty. It was just okay, I mean I've eaten worse things. We all got pasta for dinner. I got the Tortellini, it was pretty good. After our meal they brought us some complimentary lemon gelato? I think it was called. It was this really strong alcohol that burn on the way down. Terry described as a melted lemon head if that gives you any indication what it tasted like.
After dinner we headed to Saratoga Springs because they wanted to see the model for the vacation club villas they are building at the Grand Floridian, but it was closed. So we just went to Downtown Disney. We walked around there and they saw Splitsville for the first time, we actually walked around inside. I didn't know that the balcony is free to the public (you can get a good picture of Downtown there!) did you also know that there's only ten lanes on the first floor but twenty on the second!
After that we headed to Bongos and Terry finally got her mojito that she'd be talking about for days! I got a mango daiquiri which was actually pretty good! After the drinks we ran into their son and his friend and they went on their way and we left. Once we got back to the hotel, we said our goodbyes and I went back to the apartment to crash as usual.
