Days off can always be fun!
I had off today and tomorrow because I don't start training until Sunday, I know weird day to start but whatever. So, since my roommate had to be at work at 7:30 I actually got to wake up with no one else in my room with me, it was the best! I mean don't get me wrong he's nice but I enjoy my personal space. Anyway, so I didn't wake up until about 9 and I didn't leave my room until almost 10, the other guys thought I was asleep the whole time but really I was embracing my alone time. Also, I set up my alarm clock so I could listen to my iPod while I got my shower, it was wonderful because that's what I usually do at home so it made me feel more at home for the first time in a while. When I got out of the shower I got a text with a picture that my step-sister had her fourth baby, a 10 lb. girl! Then my other two roommates headed to Epcot and invited me to go but I had already made plans to hang out with this other guy who I met on Facebook and we seriously are on the same page about most things so I was pretty excited to meet him, the guys left at about 11 and I didn't go anywhere until noon so I had the whole apartment to myself, The guy I was meeting up with had to go to a meeting at 11:30 and then to Best Buy so I said I would go get gas in the meantime. I got gas and then I decided to drive to Disney University because by there is where the cast member only stores we visited yesterday are and I wanted to buy stuff and because I wanted to try getting there by myself because that's where my first day of training is and I really don't want to take the bus. So ended up buying a Christmas Mickey cellphone case (orignally $34.95 and I got it for $12.99 plus my discount!) a mickey and a minnie christmas pin and a mickey with the year 2012 pin. All for about $20 bucks! After that I headed back. When I got back the guy said we could meet up at his apartment cause he lives in the same complex as I do so I walked down and got to meet him. We decided to go to Hollywood Studios and we really didn't do much so we just headed to Magic Kingdom. We were both pretty hungry and warm since it was 82 today (you're welcome everyone back home in the snow) so we headed to Be Our Guest Restaurant and we decided to try to get in since the guy I was with got in for dinner the night before. So, we walked right up to the reservation window and asked how long of a wait for two for dinner and they said about 15-25 mins and we decided to wait and it was like 5 mins. We got a table in the West Wing (Beast's chamber for those who don't know), each section has a story and different things to see, The West Wing has a torn portrait of the Beast as he was before as a prince (much like the movie) and the enchanted rose. When you hear the thunder the rose sheds a petal and the portrait flashes to the beast as he is now and then back again. Every hour the Beast enters the restaurant and welcomes his guests, he doesn't go to every table like a character dinner but he does however go to the study, where you can meet him and get a picture with him like we did. To eat, I got the steak with fries which was delicious and the other guy got Rataouille. For dessert he got the strawberry cupcake and I got the chocolate cream puff. Also, because we told our waiter we were cast members he got us the famous 'grey stuff' (pictured below) for those who don't know it's in the song Be Our Guest in the line "Try the grey stuff, it's delicious, don't believe me ask the dishes!" And delicious it was! After that we rode some rides, we rode Ariel's Under the Sea Adventure cause he had never rode that before, we then rode Dumbo which neither of us had ever ridden. Then we went on the Haunted Mansion (another first for him), and Peter Pan's Flight (and yet another first for him). He doesn't even know what's in all the lands of the Magic Kingdom and he hasn't even seen classic Disney movies for example he hand't seen Cinderella til 2 weeks ago! So, I asked him, seriously how are you working here? I mean that's crazy! Anyway, then we headed toward Frontierland and watched the Country Bear Jamboree and stopped at a few stores on the way out. We did ride the Ferry Boat on the way in and out of the park which I had never done before, so that was cool! And that was pretty much it, tomorrow I have another day off and I need to hit some stores because we lose our holiday discount soon! I will talk to everyone soon!
