My board for today had me in five suites which is essentially 10 single rooms. One was a linen change, another was a checkout and another one said room change so technically that would have been a checkout as well. I was on the first floor of jazz today and my first check out was still there, the guests in the room change were also still there. The guest in my linen change had just left and had said he would be gone all day, so I did that one.
About 10 minutes into cleaning the room, I go back to my cart and there's the guest just about to come in. So he said he was only gonna be there to change and then leave again so I just waited outside cause I don't feel comfortable being in the room at the same time as the guest. Later in that same room some housekeeper whose a trainer was teaching someone and they both came into my room. Apparently she was sent to check on me. Okay well then don't go around re-doing everything I did. I guess the reason was the quality manager was coming so they wanted me to get a good score... Or make them selves look good. I guess what bothered me the most was after the bed was made the new trainee would sit on it and after the couch was made she sat in that too! That drove me nuts!
Next room was my checkout which I was supposed to do first thing but the guest was checking out later. So I was working on that one when the housekeeper in the room next door told me that one of my rooms was a no service meaning you don't have to do anything to it. I found that to good to be true. The house person found me and was talking to our manager about it, we knocked on the door of that suite and all the luggage was still in there. So I was told to check on it later.
After the checkout I took a 20 minute lunch, during which Our manager came into the break room and told me we can only take lunches between 11-2 and yesterday you went to lunch at 2:20 so you cannot do that any more. Also she said the guests in my room that were no service didn't change rooms so just do it as an occupied.
At the end of the day my friend Katie helped me with my last two rooms and so that help me get them done quicker which was good, thank goodness she did!
Anyway after that I grabbed a shamrock shake at McDonalds cause I needed something cause I was sweating. After that I went to Magic Kingdom and met up with Sara and Sharon!
We went on It's A Small World where Sara actually saw her good friend who she kept missing lol. Then we ate at Columbia Harbour house. Then after Sara weaves her way through the crowd in front of the castle for Wishes. Next we watched the Celebration light show which was awesome.
After that we rode Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean. We caught part of the Electrical Parade and later rode haunted mansion. Next we rode the voyage of the little mermaid and then the Buzz Lightyear Space Command. Then we grabbed a Dole Whip (Sharon really wanted one) and then went to see Tinkerbell and Periwinkle. Finally we headed out and tomorrow I would like to try to get together with them one last time, so who knows!
