Slowly getting there

Today was my roommates found some roaches near the fridge in our apartment today.my first day working on my own as a housekeeper. It wasn't awful but it definitely wasn't easy. First there were so many of us going to the building that we are in. So we couldn't take a golf cart over. Then I had to get the extra cart on the second floor because I don't have one of my own. So I went to my first suite check-out and it took me 2 and 1/2 hours to clean that room. I did one of my occupied suites and that only took 45 mins to an hour, so I did my other suite and then I only had 3 more regular rooms. I was waiting for Martha to go to lunch. Eventually we did at 2 and apparently if your break is after 2 you are supposed to let the manager know. Anyway so after lunch I had my 3 regular rooms but then our house person was looking for me because in the checkout room I did a guest misplaced their phone and I didn't see one. By the end of the day I was behind on my rooms it was already 3:30 and we are supposed to be done around 4 and I still had 2 more rooms to do luckily Martha had just finished so she helped me do the rooms really quick. Then we had to walk back because there was no one there to drive the golf cart and we got back in the neck of time cause we are supposed to clock out before 4:45 and it was close, but we made it. After work, I got to see some familiar faces from back home because Sharon and Sara are in town!!! I met up with them at Downtown Disney, we just walked around and then we sat down and got caught up. They had a reservation for Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort so they had to be there around 8, I was hungry so I asked them to walk to Earl of Sandwich with me and they did, after that I drove them back to their resort and then stopped at Target and then came back to the apartment. I am so happy that some good friends from back home are in town! It makes everything just a little better!! Now that I am dozing at the computer, I should probably go to bed. Night!
